Nondestructive examination of prototypes and production-line items

Better reliability, quality and competitiveness of aerospace structures are achieved at the expense of step-by-step nondestructive examination of parts in the course of production and acceptance tests with the use of modern means of flaw detection and geometrical and physicotechnical characteristics testing.

The following range of activities in the nondestructive inspection of prototypes and production-line items quality is carried out in the RPC laboratories with the use of own standardized methods and state standards:

Structure strength and stability tests with the use of pressurization, leakage test

hydraulic (up to 2 MPa) or pneumatic (up to 0.8 MPa) testing through the pressurization (vacuum generation) from the external or internal surface of a structure, including tests at high and low temperatures

Air testing of the structure at subzero temperature (down to -60°)

Nondestructive examination of prototypes and production-line items

examination of structure elements assembly and geometrical parameters by radioscopic method;
flaw detection by radiographic method;
examination of material physicotechnical properties by ultrasonic method;
flaw detection by ultrasonic method;
flaw detection by capillary method;
flaw detection by visual-optical method with the use of visual facilities;
air testing of structures by mass-spectrometric and other methods.
