High-strength electrically heated glazing for high-speed locomotives, railway transport, sea and river vessels

A complete list of glazing products for railway transport

List of glazing products for railway transport

Glazing is a multilayer composition consisting of silicate glasses subjected to thermal, chemical or ion-exchange strengthening and bonded together with a special film.
To prevent glazing of the engine driver's cabin against icing and sweating, a special current-conducting coating is applied to one of the composite glasses.
The temperature of the whole glass is controlled with a noncontact transducer TD-2 connected to a thermoelectrical regulator TER-2 or with a contact transducer - temperature limit switch which automatically heat and maintain glass temperature within 25 - 40°C.
High-strength windshield ensures safety to the engine driver in case of impact with a solid object up to 0.5 kg in weight flying at a speed equal to a double design speed of a locomotive (this is supported by tests). The windshield meets the requirements of GOST 12.2.056-81.
Exported glazing meets the requirements of the International Railway Code UJC 651 OR.
The output glazing is certified in the Federal Railway Transport Certification System. The following certificates have been obtained:
More than 100 high-strength glazing products for various types of railway transport means including complex-shaped products with a sun-protective band and silkscreen decoration along the contour have been developed.
Different types of glazing installation into the window aperture are possible:
- Pasting-in with the use of polyurethane sealant,
- Installation of glazing cased in the molded rubber strip,
- Installation of glazing with the transition metal frame.
