Polymeric paper-based honeycomb cores of PSP-1 type

represent a hexagonal tube structure. They are manufactured in the form of large honeycomb blocks 2500 x 700 x 600(300), mm, which are cut into panels of preassigned size.

The effect of weight saving at maximum strength is achieved at the expense of honeycomb panels glued-in between the skins of sandwich structures for aerospace equipment, ground-based transport, furniture, sports goods, construction industry.

The PSP-1 honeycomb cores are widely used for the manufacture of floor panels and the interior of aeroplanes and helicopters, in airframe structures: elevators, stabilizers, flaps, ailerons and other structures, and also for the manufacture of helicopter's blades.

The PSP-1 honeycomb core material is suited to the requirements of the Russian Federation Aviation Regulations (section 25) on inflammability, smoke and heat generation.
